At the watering hole
Westfield Washington Township created a Parks and Recreation Department in 1997.  Parks and greenspace are a vital amenity in growing communities.  The Township is proud of our own MacGregor Park and the history of our Parks Department.  Learn more HERE.

As the Township grows rapidly, WWT is looking to the future to ensure that residents have enough greenspace and passive nature areas to keep up with the national average.  Here are the facts:
  • The National Parks and Recreation Association (NPRA) states that the national average of parks is 10.1 acres per 1,000 residents.
  • Westfield Washington Twp currently (2018) has 9.63 acres per 1,000 residents.*
  • If Westfield Washington Twp does not add more parks, projected growth in 2023 shows that the parks average will decrease to 8.37 acres per 1,000 residents.
*This number only includes public parks and should not include Grand Park or other areas that are not open to the public (e.g., neighborhood parks).

Registration is open for our Winter Programming.  View the complete guide HERE.

If you haven't signed up for notifications for the OWWN guide you can do so on our website.  You will get an email when the new guide becomes available on our web site!  NOTE: The guide will no longer be mailed to Township residents.
