Westfield’s public works department is taking care of potholes as the seasons arrives in the city. Mayor Andy Cook would like residents to let them know where they need to be focusing their efforts in terms of potholes, by utilizing  the Report It feature on the city’s website.

This year, Westfield’s pothole crew is using a four-ton hotbox instead of a two-ton hotbox, which means the crew can stay our in the field longer before returning for more product.

The department also invested in an asphalt recycler, which saves taxpayers money, as the mixture that fills the pothole is made up of some of the chipped away asphalt.
