Politics at its best

Parking and walking will no longer be an issue in Downtown Westfield!  The Downtown Westfield Association (DWA) launched its new shuttle service last week and it has been a huge hit!

The shuttle will pick-up riders at the former Park Street Pub property and take them to their destinations on Park Street. The shuttle is planned to run from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Hours may change based on need.

The shuttle will initially service the Park Street business area, with plans to expand the service as ridership needs increase.

Neighborhood Chat

Here's something to chat about!  Westfield has been recognized as one of Indiana's safest cities by SafeWise for the third year in a row.

"Westfield's public safety officials are some of the most dedicated people I have the honor of working alongside," Mayor Andy Cook said. "Coffee with a Cop, the Westfield Citizen's Academy and the overall emphasis of community involvement by our officers creates the kind of place families want to call home."

SafeWise reviewed the most recent FBI Crime Report statistics, along with population data in order to compile this list of safest cities. Other evaluation metrics used were number of reported violent crimes and property crimes.

School of Rock

Just in from Westfield Schools: New school website and for the first time – a district app!
Westfield Washington School district has launched a redesigned website with a cleaner look and improved functionality.  Please take a few moments to explore the site and the updated school-specific webpages.  https://www.wws.k12.in.us/
Also, for the first time, they have launched an app for Westfield Washington Schools! You can download the app now in the Google Play or iTunes store – just search Westfield Washington Schools.  Once you download, please explore the app. It contains lots of district information, as well as a link to district resources, such as PowerSchool and Lunchtime, so parents can connect with the district and also get classroom-specific information. (Just a reminder – PowerSchool is inaccessible until early August).
