News from Open Doors
The Open Doors Pantry has conducted a “soft opening”. Our building is now open to clients to visit with an Advocate, shop the front room for produce and other food items, and to shop for clothing. Only 3 clients are allowed in the building at a time, and no children are allowed in the building. We are taking client’s temperature, and requiring them to wear a face mask upon entering the facility. Open Doors is abiding by the CDC safety guidelines and is maintaining a clean and sanitized environment.
Open Doors will be holding our annual Back To School Backpack giveaway on Aug. 8th from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the Westfield Friends Church. Clients and registrants will pick up a T-shirt and socks, a $20 shoe voucher, select a backpack, which will be filled with appropriate grade level supplies. We wish our kids the very best in the school year ahead!
