How does your organization serve the Westfield Washington Township community?
Through providing food and clothing to those in need in Westfield Washington Twp.

Tell us the history of the organization.
Open Doors was founded in 1990.

Is there a particular moment or memory that stands out?
During the 2015 Capital Campaign, we raised over $200,000 to build a new Pantry facility. We moved into the new building in July of 2017.

What is the biggest challenge you face?
Reaching more families in our community that have a need to use our services.

What is the biggest success you have seen?
Open Doors has had many successes over the years: Building the new facility; serving a growing clientele; expanding our special programs to serve more people (Thanksgiving Food Give-away, Back to School Backpacks, Weekend Backsack & Summer Lunch Programs, Christmas Clothing and Toy Give-away, and our Spring Cleaning Basket program).

Do you have a need for volunteers or donations?
Open Doors can always use volunteers, especially for help with our Special Programs. We can also use monetary donations to purchase food items that are not received through donations.

If so, please let us know how we can help?
By referring clients and volunteers, as well as your continued financial support.  Learn more about our current needs HERE.

Is there anything else that you would like to share?
Open Doors is very grateful to receive the generous support of such a giving community as Westfield.
